Remember the Attenborough family living there during the war.I used to do a paper round & one day Richard or David came into the shop & left some change behind,Mr Corner asked me if I would like to give it to them.I said yes,at the time they were in Newmarket stree post office.I was shrilled to bits but I don,t remember getting a reaction,we were poor,& I could have easily kept it but my Mum brought me to be honest.I am now getting on for 77yrs but this memory will stick with me forever.Alma Friston nee Oldfield.ex 35 Newmarket Street.
